Thai Bird's Eye Chile - $8 / half lb.
Small but pack a big punch, our favorite Thai chile for Som Tum (Papaya Salad) or added into pretty much every stir fry that we make. Can also be dried, roasted and ground to make Thai chile powder. This heirloom variety is really spicy, so only use it if you are able to handle hot food! 1 or 2 of them is plenty in a recipe for a good amount of heat. We use more in our recipes, but are also conditioned from years of eating these peppers and lots of spicy food in general!
